The distance between an idea and a business can be a long road traveled without setting a clear path.
As with all events in life, your vision must have a starting position and an end result. Goals are what represent the difference between the two points, and it should include both short and long term objectives. When you are starting to figure out what you want to do (the beginning), and what you want to accomplish (the end result), it is important that you begin to write everything down. No matter how minute, radical or dramatic make a note because you never know which piece of the puzzle it represents. Keep in mind the possibility that it might not apply to where you are today but it might draw significance weeks, months or even years from now.
Every step you make should have a purpose. Be sure that in your goal setting process has a flow. Take into consideration an outline format, and let your plans develop from that point. Make it a part of your daily routine to review what should now be considered your action plan, in an effort to determine how much you have progressed with your set goals. If you find that you are not getting as far as you would like, perhaps some adjustments need to be made. If this is the case, do not allow yourself to become frustrated because as things start coming together, it is natural for the flow to change. Stay focused and get the job done.
“The reason most people never reach their goals is that they don't define them, or ever seriously consider them as believable or achievable. Winners can tell you where they are going, what they plan to do along the way, and who will be sharing the adventure with them.” ~Denis Watiley
